Laser Loon #2

Details

These laser loons were carved as a linocut, then experimentally printed with watercolor. Once dry, I then added additional detail including the red eyes and laser beams. For those not in the know, the loon is the state bird of Minnesota, and in addition to its striking looks they can be fierce -- even taking down bald eagles who kill their young. The pose shown here is the attack pose, where they rear up out of the water. Ships from Minnesota in plastic sleeve and card/envelope with stamp.
