Bridgerton Bouquet Studies This small series explores romantic bridal florals through a Regency-inspired lens. Each miniature painting captures the softness, elegance, and layered beauty of wedding bouquets—an aesthetic deeply influenced by my years spent photographing weddings. After witnessing countless floral arrangements framed through a camera, this collection became an experiment in translating that fleeting beauty into paint. Working at such an intimate scale, I treated each piece as a study in composition, color harmony, and delicacy. Some bouquets are rendered in acrylic for richer opacity and structure, while others are painted in watercolor, allowing soft washes and subtle transitions that echo the airy feeling of fresh flowers. The goal was to explore how complex florals could be simplified while still maintaining their romantic presence. Inspired by the refined palettes and romantic atmosphere associated with the Regency era, the bouquets feature delicate roses, trailing greenery, and soft pastel tones reminiscent of elegant garden celebrations. Each arrangement sits in a classical vase, evoking the timelessness of heirloom portraiture and wedding keepsakes. Together, these paintings function as both artistic studies and quiet tributes to the beauty of wedding florals—small moments of romance preserved in miniature.
