This piece was created during a time that required slowness and gentleness. I think that energy found its way into the posture of the fronds and the muted color palette. I followed what felt honest in the moment even if the colors were not what I would consider natural. Unfurling is about process. It is about being in between. Not fully closed, not fully open. There is room here for your own meaning. Whether you see resilience, tenderness, exhaustion, hope, or something entirely different. Growth does not follow a linear path and sometimes it is soft and subtle.
