Getting the details ready.

An original ACEO. Some masks are meant to hide, while others are meant to protect. But what happens when the mask itself begins to crack? I painted this piece thinking about the masks we all wear—the ones we put on to face our loved ones and the world, to seem stronger or more put-together than what we actually feel. Sometimes those masks serve us well. But sometimes, the weight of keeping up appearances becomes too much, and the cracks start to show. This stark white mask sits upon the table with hollow black eyes and lips, its smooth surface marred by a web of fractures spreading from the left eye—as if something beneath is trying to break through, or perhaps the burden of pressure has finally become too heavy to bear. I wanted to capture my own personal moment of vulnerability, when perfection gives way to something more honest and real. This ACEO is perfect for collectors who are drawn to symbolism, mystery, and have profound insights. One-of-a-kind piece, signed on the back. Medium: Acrylic & Alcohol Markers Dimensions: 2.5 x 3.5 inches This ACEO comes in a protective card sleeve and top loader. It’s also shipped in a shell mailer for extra protection during transit.
