An original acrylic figure study inspired by the tradition of master painting. Working from Claude Monet’s Women with a Parasol, this study explores simplified values, expressive brushwork, movement, and the relationship between figure and surrounding space. Painted in my sketchbook as a study of composition, form, gesture, and classical painting.
