Getting the details ready.

I forage all my own botanical subjects, including these two tiny fern tips harvested in the very early spring, leftovers from last summer. Cyanotype is an old fashioned process that produces images in a distinct rich blue hue. My own unique approach to this process is what creates highly original pieces like this one. This ACEO Original features a two small ferns on photographic paper treated with photoreactive iron compounds and other chemicals and/or pigments. All pieces are shipped with a personal note and a little gnome friend, so they don't get scared on their way to a new home. Thank you for supporting independent artists!
