Getting the details ready.

Lately, I've been seeing pretty yellow flowers all around my town - probably a subspecies of sunflowers. Yellow is such a beautiful color - so radiant and happy, and when sunrays touch it, the color gets a special intensity that I try to reproduce in my artworks. This piece is all about that explosiveness and texture, which is preserved by several coats of fixative spray. I hope this tiny artwork finds its own place to land. Oil pastel on watercolor paper, 2.5 x 3.5 inches.
