Getting the details ready.

The history behind this color is a haunting one. Especially because the prisoners and psychiatric patients were subject to the experience of Baker-miller pink against all consent. One terrible judgement and choice... Thinking the color would calm prisoners and patients, lower aggression and violence... It did just the opposite. It caused violence and anxiety, terrible aggression, as well as muscle degradation and more. Backed up with events and accounts from people involved, first being used and tested in a US naval correctional facility in 1979. This piece took a lot out of me artistically and mentally, and as a historical context as is a very meaningful peice, which is reflected in the pricing decision. Done with acrylic and ink on thick watercolor paper
