Getting the details ready.

Green Landscape is an original oil painting, an abstract landscape. I used Gamblin oil paints and R and F drawing oils on Arches paper. This ACEO started life as a 12 by 12 inch painting and I cut it up until I was happy with the composition. That may be the wrong way to proceed, but I have always been happiest cutting away the parts of a painting that don't belong- the only restriction I give myself is I have to stop at ACEO size. I wanted to do a landscape of the southern branch of the San Gabriel River, which is next to my apartment. But sometimes naming a painting for a place invites the eye to compare it, and by the time I was done, this landscape was its own thing. The surface is covered with a varnish and it is signed and titled on the back. I will take care of postage. I can ship internationally with an envelope and stamp.
