This watercolor ACEO original depicts a bare tree against a light brown, moody background. One day I just decided I needed to work on my trees. I do that sometimes, just paint the same thing over and over again for a while. Call it skill and drill, if you like. I do love bare trees. When I'm driving around, I am always looking for the perfect gnarled oak or stately maple that ends up being a subject for my photography.
