Getting the details ready.

I forage all my own botanical subjects, including this little feather found on the shore of a large lake preserve near my home in Pennsylvania. Cyanotype is an old fashioned process that produces images in a distinct rich blue hue. My own unique approach to this process is what creates highly original pieces like this one. This ACEO Original features a single small feather on photographic paper treated with photoreactive iron compounds and other chemicals and/or pigments. All pieces are shipped with a personal note and a little gnome friend, so they don't get scared on their way to a new home. Thank you for supporting independent artists!
