Getting the details ready.

Moon Rose is an original cyanotype of several photo negatives layered together. This original cyanotype is an alternative process photo printing technique, so every image is unique and cannot be duplicated. This image has a moody tone because I processed it a bit longer than usual. The cyanotype process was invented in the 1800s as a way to make images of botanical samples that captured tiny details. I use the traditional solutions made of potassium ferricyanide and ferric ammonium citrate. The last picture shows my set up out in the Texas sun. The amount of UV radiation changes by the time of day and the time of the year, so we never know what's going to come out of the developer. Moon Rose is signed and titled on the back. I'll take care of shipping.
