Getting the details ready.

The village is having a lovely festival. No one has checked the rooftops. This original ACEO catches an orange striped Tressym mid-scheme — crouched low on a red medieval roof, wings folded, eyes fixed downward on a nest holding three baby birds who have made the catastrophic decision to look back. The standoff is total. The outcome is uncertain. The Tressym has not blinked. Behind it, colorful festival banners hang between rooftops, flags snapping in a breeze that belongs to a much more cheerful story than the one currently unfolding six inches above that nest. The celebration continues. Nobody down there knows. The only thing metallic in this entire scene is the gleam in the Tressym's eyes — catching light the way predator eyes do, sharp and specific and completely focused on three very small birds who are just now understanding their afternoon has taken a turn. Painted in watercolor and archival ink with metallic watercolor concentrated in the Tressym's eyes, this original ACEO is a 2.5 x 3.5 inch piece of a world your table already knows.
