Using ACEOs to Experiment with Transformation

Most of the time I push it too far. I start with the materials and begin to layer, adding a new technique or tool and watching what happens next. I wait for an image or composition to emerge. Experimenting without overthinking the outcome is the best way for me to work. I don't have a lot of ego invested in the outcome because watching the transformation is why I'm making ACEOs. Sometimes I think the individual artworks are more like artifacts, something dug up by archeologists who can read the history of the piece by studying the marks left by the passage of time.
