Getting the details ready.

Steeped and Unamused is card one of four in my Uninvited Tea Guests collection, whose general policy is: “We weren’t invited. Your security was embarrassing.” I imagined this little frog as the kind of visitor who somehow ends up in your best teacup without ever technically being invited. It has claimed the pink china, settled in comfortably, and is now looking around with the unmistakable expression of someone who has already reviewed the tea, the service, and the company. None met expectations. When asked for a final assessment, Steeped and Unamused has exactly one thing to say: “I was promised something stronger.” I love giving small characters personalities that feel much larger than the space they occupy, and this one became the quietly judgmental member of the collection. It isn’t causing a scene. It doesn’t need to. The expression is handling that perfectly well. Original watercolor and ink artwork, created by hand as part of The Snarky Dragon Studio.
